Uganda Police Force (UPF) has released the list of nearly 1,300 successful candidates who have been selected to join the law and order agency. The successful candidates are among the thousands who had applied for probationer police constable (general duties) and probationer police constable driver jobs.
A total of 1,088 have been given probationer police constable jobs (general duties) while 209 applicants were successful in their bid for probationer police constable driver jobs. The 1,297 successful candidates have passed the interviews that were administered at various policing regions across the country.
The Uganda Police Force had shortlisted about 2,700 Ugandans for the jobs. Over 1,800 applicants had been shortlisted for probationer police constable jobs while a little over 850 made the shortlist for police driver jobs. (See Their Names Here).
These 2,700 shortlisted candidates were subjected to interviews which included a fitness test, aptitude test, oral test, medical examination, and a driving test for those who wanted to be hired as Uganda Police Force drivers.
Now, weeks after the interviews for probationer police constable (general duties) and probationer police constable driver jobs ended, the administration of Uganda Police Force has released the list of about 1,300 recruits.
These successful candidates have now been ordered to report to the Police Training School Kabalye on November 28, 2022 where they will attend a training course before being deployed across the country for official policing duties.
