President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni has hired 740 more secondary school teachers, including deputy head teachers, in the latest appointments meant to boost education service delivery across the country.
The list of newly appointed teachers and deputy head teachers has been released by the Education Service Commission (ESC), the recruitment arm of first lady Janet Kataaha Museveni’s Ministry of Education and Sports.
The announcement followed a recruitment exercise that has dragged on for months, and has been dogged by reports of bribery.
The ESC previously released lists of successful candidates in centres such as Mbarara, Mbale, Gulu and Arua.
The commission had also released names of successful candidates from Kampala Centre but some subjects had been left out. Now, the ESC has released additional lists for the Kampala Centre under the third phase. The names are from the lot that sat interviews from July 04 through July 15.
“The Secretary, Education Service Commission informs Candidates who sat for interviews for the Centre of Kampala Phase 3 (4th – 15th July, 2022) in respect of posts advertised under Advert No 2/2022 for the successful Candidates are hereby released,” announced ESC in a statement.
“The successful Candidates should pick their notification letters from Education Commission Offices at Farmers’ House First Floor, Kampala as per the schedule in the Table below. Please come along with your National Identity Card, a Blue or Black Pen and a Face Mask. Candidates MUST come at the specific time and date your names and subject are scheduled to avoid congestion at the ESC Offices.”
