Full List: MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) 2021 nominees announced

The list of 2021 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) is out just over two months to the awards ceremony that will happen in Kampala, Uganda next year.

The organizers announced the nominees December 09.

The nominees are 52 in total.

They were drawn from 15 countries on the African continent to compete for awards in 10 categories.

Winners will be unveiled on February 20, 2021 at a virtual event in Kampala.

Six Ugandan artistes – Sheebah, Bebe Cool, John Blaq, Vinka, Daddy Andre, and Spice Diana – made it to the list.

Sheebah is also nominated in the category of best female artiste alongside Sho Madjozi (South Africa),

Busiswa (South Africa), Yemi Alade (Nigeria), Soraia Ramos (Cape Verde), Tiwa Savage (Nigeria), and Simi (Nigeria).

John Blaq is also a nominee in the Best Breakthrough Act, competing for the award with Elaine (South Africa), Tems (Nigeria), Omah Lay (Nigeria), Zuchu (Tanzania), Sha Sha (Zimbabwe) and Focalistic (South Africa).
