President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni has praised his deputy Jessica Alupo.
Museveni shocked Ugandans when he appointed Alupo, a former education minister, as vice president.
Alupo, the Katakwi District Woman MP, replaced Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi as Vice President.
Now, Museveni has outlined four reasons why Alupo is a great Vice President.
Museveni extolled Alupo as being hardworking, good at listening, a lover of unity and development.
He also spoke of how the VP steered development in her home sub-region of Teso.
“Hon Alupo is a hard worker and listens to my advice,” said Museveni, sharing a photo of him and the vice president having a conversation at State House Entebbe.
“She caused change in Teso through enterprise selection especially the growing of fruits and she also works for the unity of the people.”
