Former NTV anchor succumbs to Covid19

NTV Kenya pioneer news anchor Winnie Mukami has succumbed to Covid19 days after Royal Media Services journalist Robin Njogu also died of the viral respiratory disease.

Mukami was in a Nairobi hospital since Friday.

She began her new casting career in 2001 at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) as a TV and radio current affairs presenter and producer.

Mukami would later join then Nation TV, popularly referred to as NTV, in 2003.

Seven years on the silver screen, Mukami resigned to start her own public relations consultancy named Winners Frontiers International Limited in 2010.

She also recently served as a board member at Kenya Pipeline.
