Supporters of Ugandan first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s MK Movement have attacked Kizza Besigye’s son Anselm after the veteran opposition politician claimed that Museveni’s son and senior presidential advisor on special operations was ‘terribly substandard.”
Besigye, a former ally and personal physician of Museveni, is among a group of Ugandans who have punched holes in the credentials of Gen Muhoozi after the first son expressed interest in succeeding his elderly father Gen Yoweri Museveni who has ruled Uganda for close to four decades.
First, Besigye is against the Museveni-Muhoozi succession plan and has previously urged Ugandans to work towards a clear transition from Museveni.
And when he recently appeared on a Kampala radio talk show, Besigye did not mince his words, saying Muhoozi was not fit to become president.
Besigye insisted that Muhoozi’s only credential was that he was a son of a president. And that besides that the Ugandan general was “terribly substandard.”
“Muhoozi, apart from being a son of Mr Museveni, frankly anybody who sees and interacts with him knows that really, he is terribly substandard,” Besigye told KFM Hot Seat.
But supporters of MK Movement quickly took to social media to fire back at Besigye, saying he had failed as a father who had looked on as his son Anselm dresses like a woman and sports dreadlocks. They told Besigye to first discipline his son.
But Besigye is clearly proud of his son Anselm, especially his excellent academic achievements. (Read Stories Here and There).
Besigye has always been silent as conservative Ugandans ‘roasted’ his son Anselm for ‘growing boobs and putting on knickers.’ Only his wife Winnie Byanyima has furiously engaged ‘haters’ attacking his son. (See Details Here, There and Over There).
BESIGYE AND MUHOOZI
Besigye and Muhoozi have previously been in a war of words after the first son accused the opposition leader of attacking his wife Charlotte and linking her to an oxygen plants scandal. (See Details Here and There).
Besigye even reminded Muhoozi that he and his family were refugees in Sweden, and the first son hit back. (Read Stories Here and There).
Meanwhile, like all generals, Besigye has made it clear that he will never salute Muhoozi even if he becomes president, replacing his father Museveni. (See Details Here, There and Over There).
