Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Uganda’s first son, has advised his father Gen Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni to fire some State House employees for revealing more information than he would have wanted them to reveal.
A senior presidential advisor on special operations and former Commander Land Forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), Gen Muhoozi argues that some information at State House is so classified that whoever leaks it carelessly should lose his or job and not allowed to get closer to the presidency ever again.
A few days ago, President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s social media managers posted about UPDF’s raid on a camp of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebel outfit in the DR Congo. But Muhoozi, who has spent a significant chunk of his 48 years on earth in the Ugandan military, says what was tweeted was so classified and should not have been sent out to the public.
“Ugandans and fellow East Africans. This is to inform you that on Friday 4/11/2022, with the permission of the DRC Government, the Uganda Airforce, attacked and destroyed a big terrorist camp of ADF… I am becoming a tweeter on this occasion because it is important for the Africans and East Africans to know the capacity Africa possesses that can help it to solve these chronic security problems,” read the information (classified, according to Muhoozi) in part.
“The enemy, in desperation, has now fled beyond the limit of exploitation (the boundary of our operations). The ignorant terrorists do not know that within just minutes-not hours- we can reach with deadly fire, many areas, far beyond the line of the limit of exploitation. Hence, on Friday, they got their deserved reward. Wherever they go, we shall reach them as long as the Congo Government allows us to operate with them. Congratulations to the UPDF and congratulations to the Government of DRC and the Army of Congo.”
Gen Muhoozi quickly rebuked his father’s Twitter assistants and called for their sacking. “The people who are in charge of my father’s social media accounts should be fired! This kind of information is classified!” he wrote.
It should be remembered that a few weeks ago, Gen Museveni ordered his son to stop tweeting about politics and security. But Muhoozi defiantly told his father that ‘nobody can stop’ him from tweeting about what he wants because he is an adult. (See Details Here).
Meanwhile it has emerged that ISO boss warned Museveni that his son Muhoozi and his wife First Lady Janet were plotting to overthrow him from power. (Read Shocking Details HERE).
