Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga, the lead pastor of Christian Life Church Ministries, and proprieter of Top Media, comprising Top TV and Top Radio, is in trouble after his employees petitioned the Commissioner Labour Relations and Productivity at the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development (MoGLSD) after the man of God reportedly failed or refused to pay their salaries.
In their petition, the employees want the commissioner to order Pastor Ssenyonga and general manager Ronald Mubiru to pay them their salaries as soon as possible.
Led by Rick Ashaba, an ex-presenter at Top TV, the employees claim that they have not been paid for almost a full year.
Ashaba alleges that when he demanded that Ssenyonga clears his salary arrears, Shs5m accumulated over a period of 10 months, the pastor fired him without giving him even a single coin.
The employees are particularly angry that Pastor Ssenyonga spent millions of Shillings on a wedding ceremony for his son named Joshua yet he has failed to pay them.
Joshua, Josh for short, wedded in August 2021.
The employees even claim that Ssenyonga recently bought a Subaru new model car for his son, leaving them unable to feed their families since no money was making its way to their bank accounts.
Pastor Ssenyonga was yet to respond to the allegations.
