It was against this backdrop that Bukoli Central MP Solomon Silwany tasked government to come out clear on plans for the repatriation of Lokodo’s body and on the burial of the minister.

Silwany asked: “It has been close to four days since the passing of the late Fr Lokodo. I want to know from the government when his remains will be brought to the country?”.

Representing government, David Bahati, the Minister of State for Trade, assured Silwany and other Ugandans that the government was in touch with UHRC to ensure the return of Lokodo’s body.

Bahati also revealed that there would “clear communication” from government on the return of Lokodo’s body today.
