Former Vice President Prof Gilbert Balibaseka Bukenya is a man who is keen on enjoying his life to the fullest. He has on some occasions been pictured with some female singers, sparking speculation that there could be some relationship between him and these stars.
The politician and hygiene professor who was fired from Museveni’s cabinet over a decade ago and has failed to make a political comeback attends some entertainment shows and once in a while throws a party or attends his friends.
At one of such events, Prof Bukenya showered singer Sheebah Karungi with praises, raising eyebrows. The former VP, who is a London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) alumnus, made it clear that he loves Sheebah Karungi and went ahead to explain why she is one of her favorite Ugandan artistes.
“I love Sheebah so much. She is one of my favorite singers,” Bukenya said.
“I told her that if she comes to entertain us, she should not sing for just five minutes and run away. So, I told Sheebah to come and entertain our people for about four hours and she accepted.”
Recently, Sheebah came out to claim that a respected ‘role model’ whose identity she was not comfortable revealing had attempted to force himself onto her and to eat her ‘sumbie’ as she slept in her car waiting to perform at an event. (Read Story Here).
Meanwhile, after Sheebah claimed she had survived rape, her name and that of veteran journalist journalist Andrew Mujuni Mwenda trended on social media alongside words such as ‘finger’ and ‘beans.’ (Read Story Here).
