Ex-Uganda Cranes midfielder Mutyaba arrested over protest calling for Fufa boss Magogo resignation

Police on Friday, April 09, arrested ex-Uganda Cranes and KCCA FC midfielder Sulaiman Mutyaba for engaging in a protest calling for the resignation of Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa) president Moses Magogo.

Police arrested Mutyaba outside Fufa headquarters.

He had led others in a protest to express disappointment in Magogo’s leadership at Fufa.

Mutyaba accuses Magogo of mismanagement and gross corruption.

The protest came after Magogo accused Uganda Cranes players of playing ‘shitty football.”

The national team failed to qualify for the African Cup of Nations (Afcon).
