Fred Enanga, the spokesperson of the Uganda Police Force (UPF), is a happy Government of Uganda (GoU) employee after he earned a promotion in the ranks of the law and order agency.
Well known by a number of Ugandans for his press statements which some claim are controversial, Enanga was among the nearly 800 UPF officers that were promoted to new and different ranks in the force.
The law and order agency, whose chief is Inspector General of Police (IGP) Martins Okoth Ochola, promoted a total of 773 officers.
These were elevated to ranks such as Assistant inspector General of Police (AIGP), Commissioner of Police (CP), and Superintendent of Police (SP), among other ranks.
Enanga was promoted to the rank of Senior Commissioner of Police (SCP).
It is not clear if this elevation will come with a new juicier position for Enanga in the administration of the country’s police force.
This is surely a good year for Enanga. Just a few months ago, President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni, who is the Commander in Chief (CiC) of the country’s armed forces, awarded Enanga for his exemplary service to the nation. (Read Story Here).
