Eddy Kenzo: Ugandans are fee to vote for Diamond

The June, 2015 BET award winner Eddy Kenzo has come out to send a message to a section of Ugandans who are decampaigning him on social media.

The “Tweyagale” hit maker was nominated in the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA), in the East Africa best male artist.

Many people have continuously asked Ugandans to vote for Diamond Platnumz, a Tanzanian artist, who has been put in the same category with the Ugandan star.

When asked about this incident, Kenzo said that people have choices and he is okay with their decisions.

He added that Ugandans have the right to vote Diamond because he is an East African artist like him.

“It’s up to the individuals to vote for me or Diamond Platnumz because he is also from East Africa. I have no problem with that after all, it has always been me or him,” Kenzo said.

Other Ugandans that were listed for the awards include;  Sheebah Karungi and Vinka, who have been nominated in  Best East Africa Female artist category, Masaka Kids Africana in the ‘Best African Dancer’ Sasha Vybz in the ‘Best Video Director’ and Keko in the category of ‘Best Female Rap.

The awards, which are in their 7th edition, are set to be a virtual affair due to the COVID-19 pandemic to be held on 15th November 2020 in Dallas, Texas.
