The ring leader of rebel outfit that killed five Ugandan soldiers in a March raid on a UPDF detach in March 2020 has been rushed from Arua to Kampala on oxygen to support his life after becoming critically ill with Covid19.
UPDF security officers rushed Col Malok Atochon to a top Kampala hospital for better treatment after his health condition worsened.
Atochon was being treated at Arua Hospital.
But the UPDF transferred him to the capital Kampala July 09 evening.
He had earlier been treated at Paidah Health Center IV.
A day later, Col Atochon was transferred to Arua Hospital where he was put on medical oxygen life support for three day.
He is believed to have contracted the viral respiratory disease in his rebel hideout in DR Congo.
Col Atochon fell sick with Covid19 days after Commander Land Forces (CLF) Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba claimed the rebel had surrendered. (See: Rebel Commander who killed five Ugandan soldiers surrenders to UPDF).
