Presidential press secretary Don Wanyama has confirmed President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni will address the nation on February 04 on Covid19, and is expected to clarify on school reopening dates.
The address, to be broadcast on radios and televisions, will happen at 7pm.
The address comes after Cabinet approved school reopening in “a staggered manner.”
Save for candidates and finalists who returned to school in October 2020, millions of learners have been home since Museveni announced closure of education institutions in March, almost one year ago.
There have been calls for reopening despite the fact that the Covid19 threat remains.
