Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba
A ruling NRM MP and famous advocate of the Muhoozi Project as well as a government minister have confirmed that first son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba will be on the ballot paper in 2026.
The youthful Kashambya MP David Kabanda and State Minister for Microfinance Haruna Kasolo Kyeyune say they are certain that Lt Gen Kainerugaba will be on the ballot paper in the next presidential election.
“Come 2026, Lt Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba will be on the ballot,” confirmed MP Kabanda during Tuesday night’s NBS Barometer show.
“It’s now crystal clear that Gen Muhoozi is coming,” submitted Minister Kasolo.
But veteran journalist Andrew Mwenda, a renowned Muhoozi strategist, recently suggested that Muhoozi could contest in 2031.
