During an event to elect Oulanyah’s replacement at Kololo Independence Grounds in Kampala, Kivumbi rose to pin presiding officer Owiny-Dollo over the comments.

But Owiny-Dollo refused to be dragged into debate on his comments, asking the NUP MP if he was the MP for a county called Buganda.

Kivumbi is the chairperson of the Buganda Parliamentary Caucus.

The chief justice then ordered Kivumbi to return to his seat so that the House could stick to the business of electing a new speaker.
