Junior Minister in charge of labour Mwesigwa Rukutana has shot at supporters and agents of opponent Naomi Kabasharira as the race for the Rushenyi County National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer got heated.
One of the shot was identified as Dan Rweiburingi, a former contestant in the same constituency, in whose car Rukutana sprayed bullets.
In a video making rounds online, Rukutana is seen grabbing a gun from his body guard and proceeding to shoot at the car.
Rukutana was reportedly trailing behind Kabasharira.
