Questions remain on the cause of death of Jacob L’Okori, the late speaker of the 11th Parliament of Uganda.
On March 20, President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni announced that Speaker Oulanyah has died. (Read Story Here).
But the president didn’t reveal the cause of Oulanyah’s death.
Later, deputy speaker Anita Among issued a moving tribute to Oulanyah, revealing the things she will miss about the speaker. (Read Story Here).
But she also didn’t reveal the cause of death.
Some unconfirmed reports have claimed that Oulanyah succumbed to stomach cancer. Other said he had stage four cancer of the colon.
Daily Monitor has quoted Oulanyah’s father Nathan Okori as saying his son didn’t die of natural causes.
Government is expected to issue a statement revealing the cause.
