Teso Cultural Leader, Paramount Chief Emorimor Augustine Osuban, has passed on.
Emorimor Osuban was aged 88.
He passed on at the Mulago National Referral Hospital where he had been admitted for days.
The Teso cultural leader is said to have succumbed to Covid19.
He had been transferred to Mulago after being hospitalized in Soroti in January 2022.
Capt Mike Mukula, the NRM vice chairman for eastern Uganda, where Teso is located, confirmed the death of the cultural leader.
“It’s with deep sorrow that we communicate the demise of our cultural leader PAPA EMORIMOR LO ITESO who has just passed on in Mulago National Referral Hospital,” wrote Mukula.
“Further communication will be made later. MAY HIS SOUL REST IN ETERNAL PEACE AMEN.”
