BREAKING: Museveni Promotes Deputy CMI Boss, 75 Other UPDF Officers

President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni, who is also the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, has promoted Abdul Rugimayo, the deputy Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) boss.

The promotion was announced by UPDF spokesperson Brig Gen Felix Kulayigye on April 06.

Rugumayo was promoted from the rank of colonel to that of brigadier general.

Brig Gen Kulayigye also revealed that Museveni has promoted a total of 76 UPDF officers.

Of these, 62 were promoted from the rank of captain to that of major while 13 were elevated from lieutenant to captain.
