President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni has fired Grace Akullo as Director of Criminal Investigations.
Museveni, the Commander-in-chief of armed forces, has appointed Maj Tom Magambo the new CID director.
Magambo’s appointment followed the elevation of Magambo from the rank of Private to Major.
The new CID director has been at the Internal Security Organization (ISO).
Acting Defence Ministry and UPDF Spokesperson Lt Col Ronald Kakurungu has confirmed Magambo’s appointment in a statement dated January 25.
Meanwhile, Museveni has also appointed a new deputy IGP to replace Lt Gen Paul Lokech. (Read story here).
