National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has announced withdrawal of his presidential election petition from the supreme Court.
Last week, Bobi Wine threatened he would withdraw his petition if Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny Dollo, and Justices Ezekiel Muhanguzi as well as Mike Chibita refuse to recuse themselves from the case over alleged bias.
Days later, Owiny Dollo told Bobi Wine he should be ready to crash if he thought he would intimidate the judiciary.
The Supreme Court also rejected Bobi Wine’s quest to file new evidence by a majority of 8:1.
With these conditions – judges’ recusal and permission to file more evidence – rejected, Bobi Wine had now announced withdrawal of his case.
He says he will that the matter to the public court.
