National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has claimed state security operatives shot dead boxer Isaac Zebra Senyange.
Unknown assailants shot Senyange dead early December 30 morning in Kawempe, about 400 meters outside his home.
Bobi Wine has now alleged it was security officers who killed Senyange.
“Another brutal murder, another young life cut short. Our brother in the boxing fraternity Isaac Senyange aka Zebra Mando was this morning murdered in cold blood at his home in Bwaise,” wrote Bobi Wine.
“According to eye witnesses, he was gunned down by a group of security operatives in black uniform in a drone van.”
Beyond claims of what his eyewitnesses reportedly told him, Bobi Wine didn’t offer evidence to prove his allegation.
He also seemed to suggest that Senyange’s death was politically motivated.
“No one is safe in this brutal regime. Like many young people in the ghetto, the regime used him to compromise sound minded ghetto youths only to turn their guns on him,” he further claimed.
