Bobi Wine, Prince Nakibinge Eulogise Muslim Scholar Dr Kaliisa

The National Unity Platform Presidential Candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine on eulogized the fallen Muslim Scholar Dr Abdunoor Anas Kaliisa on Friday as his remains were laid to rest.

Dr Kaliisa 70, who succumbed to abdominal pain on wednesday was laid to rest yesterday at his ancestral home in Nyakahita-Rwengoma, Ruhaama County in Ntungamo District.

Bobi Wine described the late as encyclopedia, brave, loving and trustworthy, who cared for the poor.

The Titular head of Muslims in Uganda Prince Kassim Nakibinge was represented by Sheikh Muhammed Kiiza Kasule asked mourners to emulate the late towards the Islamic religion through having a believing heart towards God.

Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata castigated the police force for the violent acts towards presidential candidates especially Bobiwine and asked president Museveni to act accordingly on the police.

He said that they are to report personally the Officers who will act wrongly.

Lt. Gen (Rtd) Henry Tumukunde (Independent), Norbert Mao Democratic Party Presidential Candidate and Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu (Alliance for National Transformation) and other presidential candidates were in presence and government was represented first deputy prime minister Alhaji Moses Ali  

Dr Kaliisa was a political analyst, an Islamic Scholar and Lecturer, according to family members he was found dead in his bedroom. 

Supreme Mufti Sheikh Suaiman Kasule Ndirangwa, said the late Kaliisa was a man of his word who would never change easily.
