National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has said that first son and Commander Land Forces Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba thinks he is the state and the state is himself.
The phrase ‘I am the state and the state is me’ was made by French monarch King Louis XIV.
Now, commenting about Lt Gen Kainerugaba’s exoneration of journalist Andrew Mwenda who has been under fire for donning UPDF uniform, Bobi Wine claimed that the first son equates himself to the state.
Kyagulanyi now says that by tweeting that Mwenda had done nothing wrong, the first son has continued to perpetuate impunity.
“With this tweet, he closes the case. No government entity will dare speak about it again. Muhoozi simply saying, ‘I am the state, the state is me,” wrote Bobi Wine.
“The impunity! The fate of despots who have behaved in this barbaric manner is well known.”
