BOBI WINE IS A LIAR: DP Boss Mao Attacks NUP Principal

Democratic Party (DP) President General Norbert Mao says National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is a liar who can never be trusted, but is only covered by friendly media allied to him.

Mao says reporters are always on fault-finding missions in DP, leaving Bobi Wine to lie and get away with his deception.

Prior to the 2021 presidential poll, Bobi Wine said he would quit politics if he lost last year’s poll.

He lost but has remained active in politics, running the affairs of his Kamwokya-based political party.

Mao is concerned that the media has always made it a point to ask him questions such as why he didn’t resign yet he had vowed to quit if his DP didn’t get a certain number of MPs — which it failed to achieve in the 11th Parliament.

He went on to accuse the media of dishonesty for not asking the same tough questions to Bobi Wine, leaving his ‘lies’ go unchecked.

“For instance as you know, the leader of NUP said that he would quit politics if he didn’t dislodge Museveni from power in the 2021 presidential elections,” said Mao.

“I have not heard the media put that to him. But in the case of Mao, you keep singing it. You the media are the most dishonest people because you want to keep putting Mao on the whipping post.”
