Blogger Isma Olaxes Kalevu Detained

Buganda Road Court has ordered the detention of controversial blogger Isma Olaxes Kalevu over offensive communication and criminal libel charges.

Earlier in the day, CID detectives arrested Isma Olaxes Kalevu.

Isma Olaxes Kalevu, a blogger who supports the ruling NRM, has always bragged he is untouchable, and is said to have continuously hopped from one show to another blasting whoever he disagreed with — or didn’t like.

He now faces charges related to alleged defamatory statements made against singer Omulangira Suna aka OS Suna.

His co-accused, Sanyuka TV presenters Isaac Kawalya aka Kayz and Brian Kennedy Wako as well as producer Williams Makuliro aka Mako, have been on remand since October 01 on the same charges.

This afternoon, Isma Olaxes appeared before Buganda Road Court Magistrate and was charged with offensive communication and criminal libel.

He was detained at CPS in Kampala.

Isma Olaxes Kalevu is expected back in court on October 05 for his bail hearing.
