Besigye warns Jim Muhwezi: Museveni will use and dump you again, like he threw out Elly Tumwine

Veteran opposition leader Dr Kizza Besigye has warned incoming security minister Maj Gen (Rtd) Jim Muhwezi President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni will soon throw him under the NRM yellow bus he has just emerged from.

Last week, Gen Elly Tumwine handed over the security minister office with calls on President Museveni to prepare for a smooth transition of power.

Commenting on a cartoon by Daily Monitor’s Chris Atukwasize Ogon depicting Muhwezi telling NRM bus driver Museveni to advance as Tumwine cries under the vehicle, Besigye warned the security minister he could soon be thrown out of the bus.

“The fellow shouting “TUSONGE” (Advance) has just emerged from under the same bus and will, likely, return there soon!” wrote Besigye.

“That’s the same bus window in which Gen Tumukunde also sat, before he was thrown under the bus.”

Muhwezi returned to cabinet after five years in the cold. He had lost his parliamentary seat, and his ministerial position went with it.

Besigye to Gen Elly Tumwine: It’s too late for you to advise Museveni to leave power; just prepare for more humiliation, tears
