Ugandan opposition leader Dr Kizza Besigye has rebuked Ugandans who are criticizing Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja for employing her biological daughters in her Leader of Government Business office.
A weekend newspaper report claimed Nabbanja had employed at least five of her relatives, including two of her biological daughters, in the office of leader of government business, whose role is to coordinate government business in Parliament.
Nabbanja’s daughter Faridah Nakasumba is a senior liaison officer in her mother’s office while Faridah’s sister Fatinah Nakasumba is an office assistant in the same office.

But Besigye, a four-time presidential candidate, says Ugandans should focus their criticism on Nabbanja’s boss President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni.
He says Museveni has employed his wife Janet Kataaha as Education and Sports Minister, his brother Gen Caleb Akandwanaho aka Salim Saleh as coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) and his son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba as Commander Land Forces.
“It would be news if the PM and other NRM/Museveni junta leaders DO NOT employ family members and relatives!” said Besigyed.
“After the example of Mr Museveni, wife, brother, sons, daughters, grandchildren etc.; blaming Nabbanja is witch-hunt. Fish rots from the head!”
