Democratic Party (DP) president general Norbert Mao says opposition leader Dr Kizza Besigye has previously held secret talks with President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni.
Mao made the allegation in a Twitter Spaces session hosted by former NBS reporter Remmy Bahati.
“You know very well that Col Besigye was in talks with Museveni. It was in the newspapers, and confirmed by Andrew Mwenda and Conrad Nkutu,” claimed Mao.
Mao has recently been blasting his fellow opposition leaders.
For days, he was claimed that Bobi Wine’s NUP is a shadow state project. (Read Story Here).
While Mao had been attacking his fellow opposition colleagues, especially Bobi Wine’s NUP, his attacks against them intensified after Museveni’s son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba praised him. (Read Story Here).
