Sisimuka Uganda founder and CEO Frank Gashumba, a fierce critic of National Unity Platform (NUP) and its boss Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, has praised opposition leader Dr Kizza Besigye, saying he is like Jesus Christ.
In his one-man army’s sustained exposé against the NUP and Bobi Wine, whom he calls a ‘kiwaani’ opposition politician, Gashumba has continued to blast the singer-turned-politician as he seeks to prove his claims that Kyagulanyi is in the struggle to remove a dictator but for his selfish reasons.
To illustrate his allegation, he compared Bobi Wine’s bulletproof car with the vehicle Dr Besigye has used in his running battles with security officers for many years.
“Bobi Wine is Mr Kiwaani, a conman in the struggle. His car is bulletproof, and you see children of poor Ugandans, those in Vitz, Prado, following him and they are badly beaten yet he goes home on TikTok with his children…” Gashumba told Urban Rush Talk.
“Besigye’s car was made in Kisekka Market [sic — no cars are made in Kisekka]. Besigye is our Jesus. They have done many things to his ‘UAN’ car. It was manufactured around the year 2006. Kyagulanyi’s car is one of the latest.”
Gashumba went on to describe Besigye as the ‘Jesus’ of Uganda’s struggle. The social and political commentator asked God to hew one year off his life and give it to Besigye for his commitment to the struggle.
“My prayer is that if I am supposed to spend 78 years on earth, God should give one of my years to Besigye and let me die at the age of 77,” said Gashumba.
“If you want to know who Besigye is, ask [former Kawempe South MP Mubarak] Munyagwa. During the [2011] walk-to-work protests, Munyagwa and his pro-Besigye friends in the struggle would swear not to return to protests, only for Besigye to call them at 5am, asking ‘Where are you, comrades?’ The prices of goods have skyrocketed, do you hear NUP people protesting?”
Meanwhile, Frank Gashumba has also made it clear to Bobi Wine and NUP supporters that nobody can chase Banyarwanda from Uganda, saying that they are ‘the majority [sic]’ and decide who becomes Uganda’s president. (Read Story Here).
