Former Makerere University vice chancellor Prof Venansius Baryamureeba has reminded Isaac Sempala his Buziga house would be gone had he not extended a friendly loan through Kampala Woman MP Nabilah Naggayi.
On March 12, attempts to throw Sempala from his Buziga home failed after he secured a court order to nullify an earlier one blocking him from accessing the home.
In the process of the aborted eviction, Sempala collapsed, and ended up in hospital.
Sempala’s family members threw Nabilah’s clothes out of the house.
Hours later, Baryamureeba rebukes police for not arresting Sempala.
Now, Baryamureeba has reminded Sempala he still has the house because of his (the professor’s) trust and goodwill.
“Daily Monitor of 12th February 2013 carried this advert and if I had not intervened on 13th February 2013 and later provided the friendly loan of 1st March 2013, there would be no house to talk about today,” wrote the former presidential candidate.
“So don’t abuse my goodwill and trust. Refund my money and keep your house.”
