Fired Resident District Commissioners (RDCs), Resident City Commissioners (RCCs) and their deputies have been ordered to hand over offices.
President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s office recently released the list of new RDCs. (See List Here).
Now, Milly Babirye Babalanda, the presidency minister, has directed that all fired RDCs, RCCs and their deputies hand over their offices.
“All the outgoing RDCs/RCCs and deputies are required to hand over office to the District Internal Security Officers – DISOs, on Thursday March 31, 2022,” said Minister Babalanda in a statement issued on March 25.
“The president’s office will continue to consult with you to further promote the office of the RDC.”
Babalanda also told the informed the newly appointed RCCs, RDCs and their deputies that they will be inducted on how to mobilize communities for total community security, promote the parish development model and other poverty alleviation programs, enhance service delivery, fight corruption and stop illegal land evictions.
Meanwhile, the new RDCs and RCCs will pick their appointment letters from the Human Resource Department at the Old Building of the Office of the President on Tuesday, March 29 while their deputies will pick theirs on Wednesday, March 30.
The appointees have been asked to come with their National IDs.
