An audio believed to have been recorded before the arrest of Moses Bigirwa, the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) mobilization secretary for eastern Uganda, has been released by deputy speaker Anita Annet Among’s camp.
Bigirwa was arrested on November 05.
Although Among’s camp had claimed Bigirwa was arrested at Among’s gate, NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has given a different version on the arrest of his party’s mobilizer.
Now, Sabiti has shared an audio recording in which a man believed to be Bigirwa was reportedly recorded trying to solicit Shs100m from the deputy speaker.
In the recording, the man is heard saying Among should break the bank to get him some ‘mata’ [milk, which is understood to refer to money].
“Audio recording of Moses Bigirwa before his arrest in the Naksero area. In the audio he asks Deputy Speaker Anita Among to break the bank so that he can buy ‘Mata’ and the DS [Deputy Speaker] uses time of fighting back to do other things,” wrote Sabiti.
