Arteta disappointed by Xhaka’s red card

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is on tension after losing seven games from twelve matches despite a decent start of the season.

Arsenal’s poor season has been characterized with their skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s shooting blanks in front of goal and lack of discipline to his players like Pepe and the most recent one of Granit Xhaka.

”He’s made a mistake, clearly. The way the game was going, the dominance that we had… it was a game that we had to win and with 10 men it makes it much more difficult. You give the opponent a chance and you end up losing.” Arteta was quoted by www.arsenal.com

Arteta told www.arsenal.com that Xhaka’s action changed the momentum of the game and caused alot of problems to teammates when they were left to ten men against Burnley team that had stuck with defence.

”I think it was unacceptable to do that action and the players are in a moment that they are so willing to do more and fight more and show how committed they are, to be alive in the game, that on this occasion Granit has overstepped the line.” said Arteta”

Arsenal currently sits 15th on the premier league table with just six points above the relegation zone.
