Assessment body Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) has released results of the 2020 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations.
Uneb conducted this examination between April 12 and May 03, 2021 under the theme ‘Integrity and Security in the Management of Examinations; the Health and Safety of the Learners is a joint Responsibility.’
According to Uneb executive secretary Dan Odongo, Ninety eight thousand three hundred ninety two (98,392) candidates registered for the 2020 UACE examination from 1,952 centres compared to 104,476 candidates from 2,094 centres in 2019. This is a decrease of 6,084 candidates.
According to an analysis of performance in large entry principal level subjects, the best done subjects (rated by number of As are: Mathematics, CRE, Chemistry, Physics and Fine Art.

CRE | 6.5 per cent of 24,045 candidates (an improvement from 1.1 per cent in 2019) |

Physics | 3.6 per cent of 13,473 candidates (a drop from 4.1 per cent in 2019) |
Fine Art | 2.8 per cent of 16,898 candidates (an improvement from 2.1 per cent in 2019) |
