But now, a statement by permanent secretary Kakooza noted the implementation of the revised calendar would depend on the president’s decision.
Cases of Covid19 have been rising in recent weeks, with students in some schools infected by the deadly respiratory virus.
Some schools, even before Museveni’s Sunday’s big announcement, have sent students home after registering cases.
