Next Media Services and its NBS TV subsidiary have struck Nation Media Group (NMG) and NTV Uganda, seizing Joel Khamadi to replace Samson Kasumba on Live at 9.
It was not clear where Kasumba, who has been at NBS TV since 2016 when he left Vision Group’s Urban TV, was headed.
But in April, Kasumba announced he was ready to quit in order to pursue a PhD in Theology.
“After a deep conversation with my family here and in a diaspora I have decided to reignite my interests in a Theology PhD having secured the necessary funding from a reputable University. It, therefore, means that my work on air comes to a halt. It is a painful decision,” he said.
In recent months and years, NBS TV has been ‘poaching’ from NTV Uganda. Besides Khamadi, the other NTV Uganda presenter that recently made a switch is Andrew Kabuura, who moved with his Press Box show. (Read Story Here).
