Kampala Lord mayor Erias Lukwago is in the Kenyan capital Nairobi for treatment after doctors at two top hospitals referred him there.

He is currently admitted at the Aga Khan Hospital.
On November 16, Lukwago revealed he had been sick for weeks.
He had started on his campaigns to retain the Lord mayor seat but suspended them in solidarity with Patrick Oboi Amuriat of main opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine of National Unity Platform (NUP).

Lukwago is the FDC candidate for the lord mayoral position.
It was not readily clear what was ailing Lukwago but doctors at Rubaga, Nsambya and Mulago Hospitals had referred him to Nairobi.
Sources claimed Lukwago was not in critical condition had flown to Nairobi for a ‘comprehensive’ medical checkup.
That he was neither in critical condition nor his life in danger but needed doctors to find out what triggered respiratory system related allergies and made his body generally weak.
