National Resistance Movement (NRM) youths in Mbarara clashed with Bobi Wine’s supporters who were driving around the town to mobilize people ahead of the national unity platform campaign manifesto launch.
The NRM youth dressed in party t-shirts had stormed the town with brooms claiming that they wanted to clean the town roads. They kept on moving in large processions while singing as they swept some roads.
The youth who first congregated behind global fuel station about two kilometers away from the city Centre moved in procession along the high street, later went to Makhansingh street, Buremba road and Mbaguta, the busiest street in the city.
It took them over an hour to move around all these streets.
Their presence brought business to a standstill as no one moved in to regulate them much as police was within the town patroling.
They came across Bobi Wine’s supporters at Buremba road where they first blocked their vehicle later on gave it away while chanting and praising president Museveni.
