Assessment body Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) will release the results for the 2022 end of A-level or the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams this week, a junior minister at the Ministry of Education and Sports has said.
The third and last set of results from national examinations to be released by Uneb, UACE results will follow the successful release of 2022 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results.
There has been speculation on the 2022 UACE release date, with Uneb urging candidates, parents, guardians and schools to wait for an official announcement.
But now, State Minister for Higher Education, John Chrysostom Muyingo, has been quoted as telling KFM that the results will most likely be released this Friday, March 03, 2023 at State House Nakasero starting at 11am.
On Wednesday, March 01, 2023, Uneb officials were expected to brief Education and Sports Minister, also the Ugandan first lady, Janet Kataaha Kainembabazi Museveni, on how candidates performed in last year’s UACE examinations.
A total of 97,890 candidates registered to sit the 2022 UACE examinations at 2,255 Examination Centres. Of these candidates, 57,177 or 58 per cent were males, while 40,718 or about 42 per cent were females.
After briefing Education Minister Janet Museveni, Uneb is expected to officially announce the release date, time and venue.
