Exiled Ugandan novelist Kakwenza Rukirabashaija has announced release dates for his new book titled ‘The Savage Avenger,’ a publication he says is about Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the first son and senior presidential advisor on special operations.
Kakwenza says the book captures the details of the troubles he has undergone since he was arrested in December 2021, detained, until the time of his escape from Uganda to Germany.
The novelist’s family members, including his children, have since fled the country and joined him in Germany.
Rukirabashaija says his new book about his encounter with the Ugandan twitterati general who formerly commanded the Special Forces, a unit charged with the security of members of the first family, as well as the UPDF’s Land Forces.
Muhoozi was recently relieved of his duties as the Commander of the UPDF Land Forces after he tweeted about his army’s capacity to capture the Kenyan capital Nairobi.
Museveni would later apologize for his son’s careless tweets and go ahead to promote him to the rank of general. (Read Stories Here and There).
The release of Kakwenza’s book will coincide with his arrest anniversary: December 28.
“Want to know what happened from 28th December 2021 when my house was broken into by Gen. Muhoozi’s chamchas, taken to SFC dungeons, tortured, smuggled into court, remanded to Max prison, released on bail… then fled the country without passport…to Germany in exile?…” Kakwenza said in an announcement for his new book.
He also revealed that the book was currently being translated into five other languages besides English.
He also hinted on an international book tour and book orders.
“In Uganda, only pre-booked copies will be shipped into the country and delivered to the individuals,” he wrote.
“Other countries, Books will be available in bookshops and also at Amazon. World book tour dates will be announced soon.”
