There are new changes at NTV and NBS, Uganda’s two leading television stations as two anchors, Sandra Kabahumuza Twinoburyo and Samson Kasumba, announced they are quitting.
First, Twinoburyo announced she was leaving NTV Weekend edition after four years.
“It’s been almost 4 years as your NTV Uganda Weekend Edition news anchor, while this changes today, I want you to know that I appreciate all the love and the criticism that pushed me to grow. So much growth has indeed happened. It’s been a good ride,” announced Twinoburyo.
“I know it’s fool’s day but no it’s not a prank.”

Twinoburyo’s replacement has already begun work. Her name is Mildred Pedun.
At NBS TV, middle-aged news anchor Samson Kasumba has announced he will be leaving soon to pursue a PhD in theology.
“After a deep conversation with my family here and in diaspora I have decided to reignite my interests in a Theology PhD having secured the necessary funding from a reputable University,” wrote Kasumba.
“It therefore means that my work on air comes to a halt. It is a painful decision.”
Some unconfirmed reports indicate that Twinoburyo is expected to join NBS TV.
