Uganda’s national army the UPDF has confirmed the death of Lt Gen Pecos Kutesa.
Lt Gen Kutesa was a bush war fighter in President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s National Resistance Army (NRA).
Museveni fought a five-year bush war between 1980 and 1986 before rising to power.
One of the fighters in this war, Kutesa died in India today.
UPDF spokesperson Brig Flavia Byekwaso confirmed Kutesa’s demise.
“UPDF fraternity regrets to announce the passing on of Lt Gen Pecos Kutesa which occurred today in India,” said Brig Byekwaso.
