Ugandan controversial academic and politician Dr Stella Nyanzi has shared photos and her experience at Germany’s Hiddensee Nude Beach.
Nyanzi went to the beach on June 27 as part of her tour of Germany.
She says being at Hiddensee N7de Beach had challenged her conservative ideas.
“Yesterday, I ticked an entry that has been on my bucket list for many years. I went to a nu*e beach at Hiddensee. It was very liberating for me to participate in naturism. My conservative ideas about the na*ed human body quickly evaporated into thin air,” she shared after the visit at the beach.
She also shared how liberating social nudity and Free Body Culture were to her.
“Social nu*ity is normal in this space. Parents are na*ed around their children. Adults are n*ked together. Lovers also come to get nak*d in peace. People come to the beach, throw off all their clothes, wear some sun lotion, stand upright, and then walk in the sand to the sea for a swim or a splash in the water. I had my eyes full after hours of staring at na*ed humans freely going about their business,” she explained to her mostly shocked Ugandan followers.
“Known as Freikorperculture, this long term practice translates into English as Free Body Culture (FKK). My friend’ mum calls it Eff-Ka-Ka! Different people of all ages, colours, shapes, and genders are na*ed together on the beach and there is no police running to catch them. It is interesting how nu*ity is not se*ual or se*ualised here.”
