Opposition leader Dr Kizza Besigye has punched holes in President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s sanctioned national prayers against Covid19, reminding him he once said God had no time for idiots.
On June 25, religious leaders gathered at State House Nakasero to pray for divine intervention in Uganda’s Covid19 crisis.
But Besigye reminded Museveni he once told Ugandans God had no time for idiots.
The opposition leader shared a video from one of Museveni’s previous Covid19 addresses during which he said God was too busy and had no time for idiots who didn’t take prevention measures seriously.
“[June 25 was] a public holiday in Uganda. It was declared a countrywide day of PRAYER due to the rampaging Covid19 second wave,” Besigye wrote.
“Someone must hope that now God will find some time for his ‘idiots!’ May God bless Uganda.”
