A group of yet-to-be-identified National Unity Platform (NUP) coordinators and members have reportedly betrayed Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine after a photo of them meeting President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni at State House Entebbe appeared online.
President Museveni himself, the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) chairman shared the photo of him addressing people he said were members and coordinators of Bobi Wine’s NUP.
The president said he would work with the NUP coordinators and supporters to solve the challenges they presented to him.
,”Meeting a section of coordinators and members for the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) at State House Entebbe,” revealed Museveni May 06.
“I appreciate their views on the different failures of the NRM, and my assurance is that we shall work together to address such.”
Museveni is scheduled to take oath for a sixth successive five-year elective term on May 12.
Bobi Wine, his main challenger in the January 14 presidential election insists he was rigged.
