Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo is set to return to English Premier League side Manchester United after the Red Devils reached an agreement with Juventus.

1. MANCHESTER UNITED CONFIRM CRISTIANO RONALDO RETURN
“Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical,” said the club.
2. JUVENTUS BOSS CONFIRMS
Juventus Manager Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed the exit of Ronaldo but was confident the team would remain strong.
“Without Cristiano Ronaldo, there are many players who can score goals, they will be distributed across the team, with serenity and desire and the aim of winning,” said Massimiliano Allegri ahead of Juventus’ clash against Empoli FC.
“Yesterday, Cristiano told me that he no longer has any intention to play for Juventus. For this reason, he will not be called up for tomorrow’s game. Things change, it’s a law of life. Juventus remains, which is the most important thing. Cristiano gave his contribution, he made himself available, now he leaves and life goes on.”
3. DEAL DURATION
Ronaldo is said to have signed a two-year deal at Manchester United.
Cristiano’s four-year $64m/year contract with Juventus was due to end next year.
4. CONTRACT AMOUNT
Available reports indicate that Manchester United has agreed to pay Juventus $27m to start.
5. RECORD SO FAR
Cristiano Ronaldo has won over 30 major trophies during his career, including five UEFA Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cups, seven league titles in England, Spain and Italy, and the European Championship for his native Portugal.
In his first spell for Manchester United, he scored 118 goals in 292 games.
